Bush’s handling of the war continues to unravel: 3 U.S. Soldiers charged with killing Iraqi prisoners…

CNN reports, “Three members of the 101st Airborne Division have been charged with murder in the May shooting deaths of three Iraqi prisoners, the U.S. military announced Monday.”

The three soldiers are Staff Sgt. Raymond L. Girouard, Pfc. Corey Claggett and Spc. William B. Hunsacker of the 101st Airborne's 3rd Brigade Combat Team, each of whom were charged with murder, attempted murder and conspiracy.

The killings took place in May during “an operation in Salaheddin province near Tharthar Canal, which connects the Tigris and Euphrates rivers north of Baghdad.”
